Crepes

We had some old friends over for dinner on Sunday night. It was so yummy.

We cooked Savory Crepes with Creamy Chicken, Ham and Mushrooms. I found a recipe from foodnetwork.com by Emeril Lagasse. Recipe here.

It took a long time to make. The Emeril Essence Seasoning was a bit too spicy for most of the kids, included Cayenne Pepper. BK likes spicy.

Our friends brought over the fixings for Dessert crepes.

Filling on left: Chicken, Ham, Shitake and Crimini Mushrooms, Shallots, Garlic, Taragon, Green Onion. Heavy Cream sauce on top left.

MM made great crepes!

Insert the filling, then pour more cream sauce over top with more Gruyere cheese. Bake and melt.

Add Parmasan cheese and melt again. Then serve. Mmmm.

Marvin is flipping fresh crepes for dessert.

Marscapone cheese sweetened with strawberries. Another dose sweetened with orange marmalade.

Drizzled with dark chocolate. Garnished with fresh strawberries, mandarin oranges, toasted almonds.

…and a bottle of red wine.

Good time had by all. kids watched Frozen again.
