Hill Repeats

5.6 miles, 1:09 moving time, 4 hills at Howard, 3 hills at Parkview.

It was a cold, crisp morning run at the Rose Bowl with Steve and Lynda. With the shortest days of the year upon us, I arrived at Rose Bowl in the dark. The pools were steaming up. We did some body looseners (not stretches but big muscle and joint warm ups). Then we ran a mile and half to the first hill, at Howard, on the north east side of the Arroyo. We did 4 hill repeats. 10%.

Then we ran to the westside at Parkview and ran 3 hill repeats. The last one was a bonus run, because I forgot to bring my hat with me and left it on the guardrail. This one is a little shorter, but steeper, 11-12%.

The sun was in full blast as we made our way back to the Aquatic Center. Gorgeous morning.
