For a regular ride, I sure had an eventful morning. We started at Sierra Madre and rolled over to Encanto Park to pick up a few more friends. As we crossed the bridge over the San Gabriel River bed, I got a flat on my front tire. We rode south on the San Gabriel River Trail and across the Santa Fe Dam. We rode eastbound on Arrow Hwy. A huge group of the Montrose Ride passed by us at Cerritos Blvd and then a couple of them hit the bumps hard and went down. As we crossed a bumpy railroad tracks, I popped a flat on my rear tire. Sheez! What a day. Thank God for patient friends with tubes. Thanks to GT for taking pics of me and my flats. Jeff led us on a scenic, red brick road around the north side of Bonelli. The return trip was thankfully uneventful.
