Finally a Saturday in LA without rain! Cool crisp morning with lots of sunshine. The Club rode every mountain in Pasadena. It was good to see Jason back on his bike after his encounter with a steel plate.
Amy, Steve, Rudy, Bill, Dino, Robbie, Lynda, Bjoern, GT, Gregg, Peter, Jonathan, Robert (?), Jason, Mike, and Joe.
Steve got a flat early on. First Climb was along Eaton Canyon to the top of Lake Ave. Then, up Chaney Trail 10-18%. Yippers. I think I’m still recovering from being sick a week ago; I was really struggling up the hills. Rudy got flat on the very steep descent on Chaney Trail. Amy, Steve, and I heard it pop and thought it was each of us. We rode east to Descanso Gardens. We climbed up Hampstead to Sugar Loaf. Lynda added an extra climb up Emerald Isle. Whoa! Next, I ended up skipping St. Augustine; but the crew did it great. I did reconnect with the group and climbed Glen Oaks to the end of the world. And I even made it up Arbor at the end.
I can’t even remember what it’s like to sweat during a ride. Damn.
