I was running late on Saturday morning. I missed the Sierra Madre start with the Club. I also missed the Arcadia Golf Course Pickup. As I rolled up to the park, one random guy read my PTC jersey and said, ‘Oh! You just missed your group. They just took off.’ I flew down the Rio Hondo River Trail, trying fruitlessly to catch up to them. I was sweating buckets. I got down to the dam at Rosemead and still didn’t see them. So, I decided to flip it at 20 miles, which was at Imperial Hwy, the Rio Hondo River merges with the Los Angeles River. It was good solo ride, but I missed my friends.
