On a cool and cloudy SoCal Saturday, the club rode down from Sierra Madre to Long Beach. A bunch of the regular crew was out at Breathless Agony, and another crew was in OC open water swim. So, today’s ride was the few, the proud, the Long Beachers.

The day never really warmed up. But, it was nice riding weather, not too hot, not too cold, not too windy. We made good time down to LB. We rode down the Upper Rio Hondo River Trail to Whitter Narrows. Then Lower Rio Hondo River Trail to the LA River Trail. There were a lot of volunteers cleaning up the LA River today. Hurray and thank you guys. I also saw a new bike lane in LB at the end of the bike path. We refueled at Starbucks and chatted. We made our way back in two packs. I felt pretty good today. Amy is fighting off a bad cold. We’re getting ready for Ironman 70.3 St. George Utah, coming up next week.
