Ride Report – Resolution Ride

37.48 miles, 2:59 moving time, 3,497 ft elevation.

Club did not have a ride today, due to COVID-19. But, some of my friends rode around Pasadena / Glendale. Climbing today around town. Love my new bike. I got a new Pioneer Power Meter, which is mounted on the crank. It shows power on Left and Right. It’s awesome. The orange crank sensor blends into my orange frame.

We rode from Jones Coffee, through Pasadena, up New York to top of Lake. Chaney Trail was closed for COVID-19. We rode to Descanso Garden, up to Foothill and turned down Dunsmore. The descent through Montrose and Glendale was awesome. My new bike was flying. I hung on Ryan’s wheel at 31 mph without any effort.

We took a new turn up Mountain Ave, passing Glendale College and up to Rancho San Rafael. Calle La Primavera was our old house in 2004. The kids were tiny before we moved to SoPas. The climb up Mountain is Insane. The ascent to the top of world is 9-15% for 2 miles. We rolled back through La Canada and Pasadena with Arbor St. as the finale. Coffee togo at Jones. Ahhh. great day.
