Running at sunrise is my favorite time to run. It was a chilly 39°F in Pasadena this morning. Since the next race is the Bandit Trail 15k, I hit the trails at Rose Bowl.

Here’s the Strava numbers. 5.8 miles. 1:08 time. included picture stops. 😉
Started from edge of Brookside Golf Course at the Rose Bowl. Went under the 210 Fwy. Up Devils Gate Dam.
Along the Hahamongna Trail. There was a fog hanging in the valley.
Through the JPL parking lot.
Along the dirt trail. Choose wisely to the LEFT, not up the mountain bike trail.
To the horse water trough. Under the tree.
This is the turnaround. and then back to the car.
Lesson: Trail runs are fun because you get out of the city, even if it’s only behind the parking lot.
