Training review Q1 2016

Let’s see how the training has been coming along in 2016. 16 weeks until IMMT (Ironman Mont Tremblant)! Here’s the stats taken from Strava.

Compared to same time period for the last 2 years. I’m definitely training more hours, more miles, and more workouts. Although I had more PR and breakthroughs last year. Overall, I’m happy with the amount and quality of my training. I think my run hasn’t progressed much due to prolonged allergies. But, it should be getting better now. I think the main events so far have been successful. I feel like I’m mostly on track for Ironman. I also like the blend of group workouts and some personalized coaching.

Group workouts: GRA Swim Mon-Wed-Fri, PTC Sat Rides, PTC Bricks Wed.

Personal workouts: Run with Lynda Thurs., Sunday Runs.

Here’s the raw data from the Strava Training Calendar. Last year, at this time, I was prepared for Ironman St. George Utah 70.3. You can see that in May, the training took a big dip after the beginning of May. This year, it will continue to ramp up.
