I has such a great ride Saturday. Great friends, great weather, and a brand new bike.
70.8 miles, 3:48:07, 1,509 ft elevation.
The Club started at Sierra Madre and rolled south to Long Beach. Perfect weather. Sunny and bright. Not hot or cold, not even windy. Just a great ride. There were’t that many bikes on the bike path either. Pretty quiet and safe. The ride spread out naturally onto convenient packs. We regrouped in Long Beach at another Starbucks. Then rode back.
MikeG, Rudy, MikeW, Lynda, Ryan, Tiff, Deanna, Kirk, Bill, Yas, Joe. We also picked up Alvin, Mackel, Anton in Arcadia.
Alvin and I took a Twinsie Felt IA pic.
My new bike felt great. I felt good in the aero position the whole day. My bike fit and new saddle paid off. One screw on my torpedo wiggled loose on the return trip and the bottle started spinning around. Oops. Overall, my bike is almost all dialed in for Ironman 70.3 St. George (coming up on May 6th). I have a couple more items on order.
