The Club met at Sierra Madre for a climb up in the mountains. Unfortunately, my internal morning clock wasn’t cooperating, so I met up with the Club at Encanto Park in Duarte. Great turn out for a perfect day for riding. Weather has turned to fall. Not too hot, not too cold. Just right. Clear, Sunny. Awesome. We rode up the Azusa Canyon Hwy 39 along the streams from the dams. We took the turn at East Fork Bridge, and headed east. Lynda flipped it at 20 miles, because he coach wanted to ensure she’s ready for KONA IRONMAN CHAMPIONSHIPS next week! Bill, Amy, and Tiff were kind enough to escort Lynda back to Pasadena. Paul got his first flat as Lynda and crew were flipping it. Bill gave a few tips on changing a rear tire with a through-axle. James caught up to us. We carried on and refueled at the cafe. We climbed up the Backside of GMR. Helicopters were carrying replacement pole lines, interesting to watch overhead. The ridge had a great view and we rolled down the Front Side of GMR and back home.
