Learning to Attract Wealth, Health & Happiness

Quotes from Book, with my thoughts attached.

“If you are a student of Deliberate Creation, if you want to consciously create your own reality, if you desire control of your own life experience, if you want to fulfill your reason for being, then your understanding of these prevalent topics—money and the Law of Attraction—will serve you enormously well.”
~ Esther and Jerry Hicks from Money, and the Law of Attraction

“Shortage of time is not your problem. Shortage of money is not your problem. Shortage of Connection to the Energy that creates worlds is at the heart of all sensations of shortage that you are experiencing.”

They are saying that time and money are by products and results of your life. Your connection to get-plugged-in_t_nv1your ilfe is what makes it great. If you’re not happy with the time and money issues, then it’s a symptom to look and see that you’re disconnected from the Source. As a Christian, I keep plugging God into the sentence, and it resonates with my heart. I’m opening up my mind to read all these different books to hear their truths and see how they can make a difference in my life. They don’t necessary conflict with the Bible. They may confirm or add more color to my spiritual life. This part of the journey is to learn from the best that’s out there for health, and happiness.

“If we were talking to you on your first day of physical experience, we could be of great advantage to you because we would say, ‘Welcome to planet Earth. There is nothing you cannot be or do or have. And your work here—your lifetime career—is to seek joy.’”

Lifetime career. That’s an awesome way to put things in perspective. Many times, I’m looking at my job today or next year, or where I want to be in 5 years. What my next job will be. Focus on what I love to do and my whole life will improve. Job included.

“The most valuable skill that you could ever develop is the skill of directing your thoughts toward what you want—to be adept at quickly evaluating all situations and then quickly coming to the conclusion of what you most want—and then giving your undivided attention to that.”

To quickly evaluate situations and see what I want. Sometimes I think there’s too mThinkinguch going on in my head. I have all these things I’m thinking that other people are thinking. In my marriage it was crazy to be guessing and pre-guessing what the other was thinking. I cut all the crap out and said to myself and later, much more gently, ‘just say what you want’. ‘ask me for anything you want’. ‘i’ll gladly give it to you.” To add what Hicks says about evaluating quickly, I would add talk out loud. Say to the other person, gently and with respect, ‘what do you mean? Is this what you want?” You’ll quickly find out how that person thinks. Keep it positive. Always ask a simple straightforward question that expects a ‘Yes’ answer.

“Most of you are much closer to a financial fortune than you are even allowing yourself to purely desire, because, in the thought that it might come, you right away begin thinking of how disappointed you will be if it does not come. And so, in your lackful thought, you do not allow yourself to desire or to expect anything magnificent in terms of money; and that is the reason why, for the most part, you are living rather mediocre financial experiences.”

So, this is where it gets interesting for me. I’m wide open for money to coming rolling in. I absolutely believe that money follows passion and hard work. Desire for it.

THE REALITY OF YOUR LIFEglass-filling-up
“People talk about the reality of their life as if it is important. And we want you to understand, it’s only the temporary indicator. Do you go to the gas station—your gas gauge is on empty—do you go to the gas station and look at your gas gauge in horror? ‘How did this happen? [Fun] Why, why, why did this happen to me?’ Do you lay your head on the steering wheel and just sob? ‘Oh, look what it’s come to. [Fun] I’m finished. I’ve lived all of this life, and look where I am.’ Or do you just fill up.”

Move on. Life ebbs and flows. Can’t get too depressed about today. When I have a bad day, I go to bed early and wake up super early. This automatically ends the bad day. This automatically gives the new day lots of time to turn into something awesome. Early risers can see the sunrise, which is another awesome theme of mine. Early risers are not rushed; they enjoy all the little things. Serendipity will walk along with you during these early morning days.

“You have to begin to tell the story of your life as you now want it to be and discontinue the tales of how it has been or of how it is.”New Story Logo Horizontal_no drop

This is the best. Absolutely true. Bible talks about taking of the old self and putting on the new self. We talked about this recently at life group. This is so important. Leave the bad stuff and the old story behind. It’s not me anymore. I don’t even want to talk about it. There is no good to be made from old bad stories. Only relive the awesome stories. And, make new awesome stories starting today. Brian Johnson tells neuro-plasticity. That you begin to think one way and it becomes a rut to keep that way of thinking. It becomes easier and easier until it’s second nature. If you want a new story, think of fresh snow and your sled does NOT have to go down the old ruts. Start a new sledding pattern.

“So the Pivoting Process is simply: Whenever you recognize that you are feeling a negative emotion (it is really that you are feeling the lack of harmony with something that you want), the obvious thing for you to do is to stop and say, I’m feeling negative emotion, which means I am not in harmony with something that I want. What do I want?”

This is total truth too. I mentally have to rewrite every statement in my head, from a negative statement to rephrase into a positive statement. I always state things in the positive. We can do it this way. I only mention the positive options. Obviously there are other ways, less positive. Leave them out. Don’t give them air to even breath. Only breath life into positive options. Calendar events are huge in my house. We’re always faced with booking and double booking, dividing and conquering all the activities for the 4 of us. We weigh the options. We choose the best ones and most positive, instead of the least negatives.

“Those moments in your life when you feel absolute exhilaration are moments of complete Jumping-off-cliffalignment with the Source within you.”

I thought about this a long time. When I feel the thrill, it’s usually when my anticipation of something actually matches up and becomes a reality. For example, finishing a race is thrilling because I’ve been thinking about it, training for it, traveling to it, for a long time. Another recent example, was receiving new shoes from online. I ordered it, saved money, waited, and I get an email from my mailbox that the package arrived. That email is the THRILL. One last one, relationships also give me a huge thrill. The anticipation for a date night with my lovely wife. When it actually happens, that’s a THRILL.

“While your parents and teachers are, for the most part, well-meaning people, they are nevertheless more interested in your finding ways to please them than in your finding ways to please yourself. And so, in the process of socialization, almost all people in almost all societies lose their way because they are coaxed or coerced away from their own Guidance System.”

It is hard to do your own thing. It’s hard to find your own guidance system and stick to it. It’s easier to be pulled along to other people’s system. I like finding people that I like and that I want to be like, and let them pull me along. Then, the direction that they’re going is the direction I want to go.

“You actually only have two choices in emotion: a better-feeling one or a Good n Badworse-feeling one. So you could accurately say that there are really only two emotions, and you effectively utilize your Guidance System when you deliberately choose the better-feeling of those two options.”

I have a distinct internal feeling. When something is really wrong, I feel physically horrible. When I hear a bad story, or I recognize I made a bad choice, I feel it physically. My gut wrenches. I know that the flip side is also there. I feel physical satisfaction in things going well. I recognize what feeling good, actually feels like.

“There is no better way to earn money than to do the things that you love to do. Money can flow into your experience through endless avenues. It is not the choice of the craft that limits the money that flows, but only your attitude toward money.”

This is a truth I’m following now. I know I’m not there yet. I have a day job, and I’m thankful for it. I do it well and enjoy it, but it’s a day job, not a passion job. Unique Genius challenged me to find the passion and mash it with my talents and the efcd5-ugmoney will follow. I’m in that path now. I’m laying the groundwork to mash it up.
