Annual Pasadena Flipoff.

Pasadena Pacers hosted a fundraising event at Garfield Park. It’s a gathering of local athletic clubs, with their best chefs pumping out lots of pancakes. The eaters ‘vote’ by donating cash into each club’s bucket. The clubs keep their bucket money. 6 clubs participated this year: Pasadena Pacers, Pasadena Hikers Club, Pasadena Triathlon Club (that’s me), Gritty City Runners Club, Dog Haus Runners club, and Team in Training San Gabriel Valley. It was a fun time in the park. It was a very fun and light-hearted event. PTC gets a lot of cross over club members from Pacers. When a pacer gets interested in triathlons, they head our way.

PTC’s Dave Ritchie led the charge with Spiced Apple Sauce Pancakes. They were light and fluffy. Yummy. Other clubs had Peanut Butter Chip pancakes with Strawberry Sriacha Sauce. I know weird, right? Green apple and brown sugar pancakes. Banana pancakes.

Well Done, Dave and crew! PTC raised some money but came in 4th place. Pasadena Pacers won big with over $1000 donated. They took home the Titanium Chef award.
