36.6 miles, 2:05:03 moving time, 65 suffer score, 24 Strava trophies.
It was super cold this morning (for LA), 36F. My car even dinged with snowflake warning light. I bundled up with hat, full gloves, jacket, long pants, and toe covers. We started at Starbucks in Sierra Madre, then Encanto Park pickup for coached ride. We rode down the San Gabriel River Trail, across the Santa Fe Dam, down the trail to Whittier Narrows Park. Henry and I got dropped on the dam. The rest of the guys were flying down the trail, 24+ mph. We regrouped at Whittier, and transitioned to the Upper Rio Hondo River Trail. We rode it back up to Arcadia. The sun was shining, but it was cold and windy the whole ride. I can’t take pictures with my gloves on, so there are very few pictures today. Hot Salted Caramel Mocha at the end warmed me up! Looking at our time, and all the Strava trophies, we were flying the whole ride. This was the last ride of 2014. Happy New Year PTC!
