We served Chinese food at the Union Station Homeless Services. We joined My wife’s friends from the South Pasadena Chinese-American Club. SPCC serves dinner every first Sunday of the month. This is our second time participating. This time we invited another family to join us. SPCC used to cook the food years ago, now they buy it from a local restaurant, Oak Tree Inn. Kung Pao Chicken, Cabbage and Chicken, rice, milk and cookies. The actual serving is not a big deal. The real deal is showing our kids the reality of homelessness and talking through loving others through community service to others, and taking time out of our schedule to make time for others less fortunate than we.
