Transitioning from Short Course to Long Course Triathlon
Coach Rich Strauss of Endurance Nation will discuss considerations for age group triathletes looking to move to a different distance triathlon experience for the 2016 season. From race selection, to scheduling frequency, volume, and intensity throughout the year, to preserving headspace and Spousal Approval Units (SAUs), he’ll cover everything you need to get your mind right about 2016. It’s that time of year, when triathletes wrap up their 2015 seasons and begin to think about their race plans for 2016. Many athletes use this as an opportunity to “step up” or down, in triathlon distances, bouncing around between short course, half and full Ironman racing.
