Since it was our first time back riding, since Ironman Mont Tremblant (IMMT), GT, Luis, Alvin and I wore our new IMMT kits, blue / black / yellow, fleur de lis. Bob led the main ride out from Sierra Madre to Glendora Mountain Road (GMR). My legs were feeling tired just on the rollers to get to GMR. Once we started climbing, it felt like (and probably looked like) slow motion. That was the longest GMR has ever felt.

It was cloudy in Pasadena and Azusa, but we cleared the clouds by the top of GMR. Hank was very pleased with himself by beating Ben to the top. I brought up the rear with Rudy. The main crew went down the backside of GMR and around to Hwy 39. Ben, Rudy, and I flipped it at the top of GMR.

Whew! Glad to get the legs going again, but there were really burning on the Sierra Madre return trip.
