Spring Break – Crocker Museum

While my son was busy at Destination Imagination, my daughter and I wandered through the Crocker Museum in Sacramento. The perfect size and mix. Not too little, not too much, not too weird. Interesting architecture: Remodeled Victorian and Ultra-modern. Japanese art: ancient and contemporary.  African Art. Ceramics from all over, both old and new (M’s favorite). Contemporary: Some bull-crazy stuff. American Art: Large, realistic, idealized. California Art: coastal landscapes (My Favorites). Special Ansel Adams exhibit of the WWII Japanese Internment camps. Chihuly chandelier. Fun time. I had burnt out the kids on museums when they were little, we haven’t gone to a museum in years.
