Ride Report. Summer Brick.

Ride: 18.2 miles, 1:17 moving time, 1,535 ft elevation

Run: 3.4 miles, 34:16 moving time, Loop around the Rose Bowl.

LA is still in the heat wave, with day time highs in the high 90F. Fortunately, it cools off in the summer evening. We started with two social loops around the Rose Bowl. Then, up San Rafael, around Linda Vista. Up Devon. Up Braemar. We rode up a bunch of hills in reverse order. Lynda and I got a little off track, but regrouped with the main ride somewhere in La Canada. They were hard climbs, but not too long. And moving quickly, felt cooler than standing still. On the final rush back to the Rose Bowl, Michel and I really wound it up. Wahoo!

Lynda made sure that I ran a loop. I followed Graziano. He left me in the dust in about a mile in. I felt better at the half way point and picked it up. Negative splits on the way back.

Lynda and I had our winter jackets embroidered by Danny (Embroidery N Things). Looks good.

FYI: I saw a new bicycle fix it station installed at the park. Air pump, tools, and wrenches. Amazing.
