On a sunny summer-like morning, we rode from Sierra Madre to Long Beach. We took the Rio Hondo River Trail from Arcadia down to Whitter. Crossed Rosemead Blvd, Left at Lincoln and picked up the Lower Rio Hondo River Trail. It merges with the Los Angeles River Trail at Imperial Hwy. Heads winds headed south. Muggy. I had a slow leak on my front tire and stopped once to fill about 5 miles before Long Beach. Refueled at Starbucks on Magnolia and then headed back home. Tail winds on the way home! I was riding the Steve Train. Great job, Steve, super strong. Ready for IM Louisville! We watched a another rider run smack into a homeless guy’s shopping cart. Ka-Pow! We picked him up and he walked off his embarrassment. He said he was looking down and didn’t see the cart in the middle of the road. There’s a life lesson in there somewhere. It started heating up for real, as we refueled at the Golf course in Arcadia.
Congrats to Yo! Longest ride to date. 1st time to Long Beach. Well Done!
