Wet Brick. Pool and Trails.

Swim: 1650 yds, 35:18 time

Run: 3.0 miles 36:25 time

I stayed up way too late last night. Hard time getting out the door this morning. In the training plan, my coach had 1 hr swim with a 45 min run. Since I was pressed for time, I decided frequency over volume. I opted to do as much of the swim as I could in about 30 minutes. It turns out that I was in the middle of a 4×200 set, so I finished the set and then jumped out of the pool and changed for a quick run. I took some of the trails around the Rose Bowl Aquatic Center and snapped some pics along the way. It was just too beautiful a morning to not share it.

The life lesson is do what you can and enjoy it. Don’t beat yourself up because you didn’t get it all done. Plan ahead better next time. Pack my bag the night before. Go to bed. Watch less TV. Enjoy the time you do have to train.

Adjacent to RBAC in the park, Kidspace Museum is a fun science-playground for toddlers. I have fond memories of my kids playing there when they were little. Time flies.
