I signed up for Vineman 70.3, July 10, 2016. It’s one of the most beautiful triathlons, set in the California Wine Country. The swim is in the Russian River. You can’t freak out, cuz you just stand up. It’s in a dammed up section of the river at Johnson’s Beach. The Bike ride is through the Sonoma Valley, gorgeous vineyard and wineries. Rolling hills. The run is through the town of Windsor, including running through a vineyard.

Vineman comes about 6 weeks before Ironman Mont Tremblant (full 140.6). So, the timing is perfect.

WTC World Triathlon Corp recently bought up Vineman from the local race producer. This year WTC gave California triathlon clubs, including Pasadena Triathlon Club, pre-registration for Vineman. This is huge, because Vineman sells out in minutes. A couple years ago I forgot to hit the website until 10am and I was 600 on the waitlist. That was nerve racking to be on the waitlist for months.
