Ride Report: Hot Summer Pasadena

39.1 miles, 2:56:50 moving time, 3.606 ft elevation.

In the hot LA summer morning, the club rode the resolution route. We met at Jones Coffee at 7:30am and it was already 80F. The route winds around the edges and hills of Pasadena, La Canada and Montrose. We rode east along Walnut, then up Easton Canyon to the top of Lake Ave. Then, we rode up the very steep Chaney Trail. West around JPL and up to Descanso Gardens. Northwest up Foothill, a long slow climb. Then a speedy descent through Montrose and Glendale. One last climb over Chevy Chase and Linda Vista. After an agreement that it was way too hot to go up Arbor, some still went up and over Arbor. By the time we finished my Garmin read 102F (39C)! We recovered at Jones over iced coffee and stories of triathlons.

John, Jerrod, Deanna, Gregg, Lynda, MikeG, GT, Bill, Steve, Bob, Bjeorn, MikeW, Rudy, Alvin, and Joe.
